Following the successful upgrade across the entire network suite in 2021, 01T have today announced additions to their UK estate across two key POPs.

New route into FRN1 and Juniper upgrade

Due to continual expansion of the FRN1 site matched by soaring demand, 01T have added additional high capacity routes into the site. In addition to this expansion on such an important POP, a complete Juniper hardware upgrade programme in this site has also completed. This follows the successful Juniper upgrade of the entire 01T network estate in 2021.

About FRN1

A Datum Data Centre, FRN1 is in constant expansion and is the second-largest outer London Data Centre cluster. Connected by multiple fibre providers, FRN1 has a latency to Slough and the City of London of less than 1 millisecond. 

FRN1 is a very high security site. The expansion of this service further strengthens and builds on the security services on offer in the 01T portfolio, such as MACSec and DDoS Protection.
